For music from the YouTube audio library, check the license of the specific track. Some recordings require you to credit the author in the video description; the mere fact that you downloaded it from the library is not enough to decide what text you need to add.
Checking the selected recording
Open the audio library in Studio and find the exact track that was used in the edit. Match the title and artist against the saved file. If the recording is listed under a Creative Commons license with an attribution requirement, copy the provided authorship and terms information.
Save the recording's title, source, and verified terms together with the project. This is a working team note in case the editor changes, not a standalone permission for any and all uses of the music. Another track with a similar title may have different terms.
How to format the description
Add the required credit to the video description before publishing. Check that the name, link, or license mention was not lost when pasting. The automatic Music section in the YouTube interface does not replace the attribution that the license requires.
An example of checking: the editor handed over the video and the name of the music file. The editor finds the corresponding recording in the library, verifies the license, and opens the links from the finished description. If the file has been renamed and the source cannot be established, first determine the origin of the music rather than substituting the credit of a similar recording.
