To meet at a large venue, agree on a fixed point in advance and only turn on Telegram location sharing when necessary. It shows a participant's movement, so it should be sent to specific people and for a chosen duration. For a public announcement, an address and entrance diagram are usually enough.
Prepare two ways to find each other
In the message, describe a landmark in words: "entrance from the courtyard, next to the blue canopy." Then send a regular map pin. If participants are walking toward each other and that is not enough, agree on a temporary location sharing.

Rehearsal before the event
In the agreed chat, send a test sharing and make sure the recipient sees it update. Check the location permissions on the phone and the time of the last update. If the pin is frozen, clarify the position with a message instead of confidently directing the person to the old mark.
A designated coordinator meets the group at two entrances. He first writes which entrance he is at, then turns on sharing for the duration of the gathering. The second coordinator checks that he received the message in the right chat, not in the public group of all visitors. After the meeting, the first one stops the sharing and checks its status.
What not to promise participants
Do not call a location exact proof of arrival. Signal, network access, and phone settings affect the observed point. Do not require constant sharing as a condition of an ordinary purchase and do not post someone else's location in a channel.
If a person does not want to share coordinates, leave the entrance number, a photo of the landmark without bystanders, and the ability to message the coordinator. The goal is to help people meet, not to collect a movement history.
Scheme: 1 — choose the meeting point; 2 — agree on temporary coordinate sharing; 3 — stop it after the meeting.
