YouTube Premiere is suitable for a first joint viewing of a pre-uploaded video. Before it starts, a public page appears that can be shared, and viewers can turn on a reminder. It is a convenient gathering point for an audience, but the scheduled time by itself does not ensure attendance.
What to prepare before the announcement
Choose a finished video and check the sound, captions, thumbnail, and description. Premiere is not intended for Shorts. Do not call it a live stream if the viewer will see a recording: the author's participation in the chat and the recording on screen are different things.
When setting the time, check the time zone against your audience. In the announcement, write the date, time, and time zone in words, especially if people are in different countries. Check that the link opens the page for the upcoming viewing, not the channel's video list.
How to use the page in advance
Send the link to a colleague and ask them to open it without channel management permissions. Have them check the title, thumbnail, and start time. This is an editorial check of the page, not a check of guaranteed notification delivery.
In the invitation, explain why to come at the start: for example, the author will discuss the examples shown in the chat. Do not promise answers to all participants if the team will not manage to give them. Assign a person who monitors questions and communication rules.
After the screening begins
Compare the planned script with what actually happens: did the viewing open, is the topic clear to the viewer, is there enough moderation. After it ends, update the links in the announcements if the wording "we'll start soon" no longer matches the situation.
Track visits to the page and actual participation in the viewing separately. A reminder expresses an intention to return, but it is not a completed view or a purchase. If the discussion turned out useful, save the answers in a convenient material for those who came later.
