Product photos should answer questions that cannot be confidently resolved from a single attractive angle: size, details, what is included in the set, and usage limitations. Build the set around the buyer's questions, not around the number of free slots for images.
Four tasks for the shoot
A hypothetical example is a desk stand. The general view helps identify the item. A photo with dimensions explains whether it will fit on the desk. A close-up shows the mount. A separate shot of the set distinguishes what is being sold from the props. If there is a phone in the photo, state directly whether it is included in the set.
Do not use perspective that visually enlarges the product as the only proof of size. Duplicate the numbers in the text of the product page. Do not retouch the characteristics of the material in a way that gives the buyer an item that looks different.
Prepare a list before the shoot
Take questions from inquiries without personal data. For each one, write down the required shot, the caption, and the method of verification. If the question concerns compatibility, show the specific model and parameters; one photograph does not prove compatibility with all devices.
If a property cannot be seen — for example, durability — do not replace the proof with a staged shot. Describe the confirmed conditions and limitations separately. Make sure you have the right to use the photographs and the materials depicted.
Checking the product page
On a phone, compare the photo, the variant name, and the description. The color, the set contents, and the dimensions must refer to the same product. Check that the captions are readable without zooming in and that nothing important is cropped.
