Timestamps in a Telegram video caption help you jump to the right moment in the recording. Prepare a short table of contents after the final edit and check each timestamp by tapping it. This is navigation within the file, not a text replacement for the video's content.
Choose useful entry points
For a sample assembly recording, mark the start of preparation, the installation of the part, and the final check. Name the actions, not abstract “part 1” and “part 2”. The reader should understand where they will jump before opening the clip.
Telegram officially describes clickable timestamps such as 0:45 in a video caption and in a reply to it. Check the format on the specific post: similar digits in ordinary text should not be considered a working link without testing.
Example caption
Training mock-up: “0:00 — prepare the tools; 0:45 — install the mount; 2:10 — check stability”. In a real video, the times are taken from the final file. These numbers do not fit someone else's recording and are not a universal editing template.
Start the timestamp a little before the desired action so the viewer has time to understand the context. Open each link on your phone and compare the actual frame with the title. If you re-exported the video and cut the intro, check the whole list again, not just the first timestamp.
What to leave out of the table of contents
Do not turn every line into a separate link: with dozens of items, it is harder to choose the right one. If a key decision needs to be read quickly, add a text summary as a separate paragraph. A table of contents does not replace subtitles and does not make the image accessible to someone who cannot see it. For important actions, keep a clear explanation in ordinary text.
