A spoiler on a Telegram photo or video hides the preview until it is tapped, but does not restrict access to the content itself. It is suitable for voluntarily revealing a surprise or the result of a task. Client addresses, documents and other confidential information must be removed from the file before sending.
What the feature does
Telegram describes a layer that blurs the image and is removed with a single tap. In the attachment menu you can select media and the Hide with Spoiler action. This is a visual mode, not a verification of the reader's identity and not protection against saving a revealed image.
A good scenario is a photo of a finished model after a lesson: the student first does the exercise, then opens the result themselves. A bad scenario is a contract with the buyer's address, covered by a spoiler. The second post remains a disclosure of the document to any recipient.
Prepare a clear caption
Before the image, explain what is hidden: "Under the spoiler is the finished build; open it after the third step." Do not hide under the effect the only information about the deadline, the package contents or an important limitation of the offer. The reader must understand the purpose of the post even if they do not open the media.
For a test, send a safe image to a separate chat. Check the state before tapping, the revealed result and the caption. If the image contains text, duplicate the necessary information in the regular text of the message: the picture must not be the only carrier of the instruction.
Privacy check
Before publishing, open the source file without the effect and zoom in. Remove identifying details from the final copy rather than relying on the preview blur. If the material cannot be shown to all recipients, choose a different transmission channel and access circle. The spoiler itself does not solve this task.
Scheme: 1 — check the source image; 2 — hide only an acceptable surprise; 3 — preserve the meaning of the post in the open caption.
