A photo is fine for viewing an item in a chat, but printing or further processing requires the source file. In Telegram, HD mode and sending the original are different options. Do not treat a nice preview as confirmation that the recipient downloaded the full source file.
State the purpose of the image
Ask what the person will do with the picture: view it on a phone, place it in a listing, or pass it to a designer. For the last two tasks, write down the required size and format. If the requirements are unknown, send the agreed original as a file, and next to it a light preview for recognition.
Telegram describes sending photos at the original size and the increased-quality mode for regular photos separately. Therefore, the HD toggle should not be presented as a universal replacement for the original. The name of the sending method depends on the client; the reference point is sending a file without processing it as a regular photo.
Check on a single image
Take a test photo with small lettering. Save its dimensions and file size. Send it using the chosen method to a test chat, download it on another device, and compare the properties. Then open the enlarged fragment for which the source file is needed.
If the pixels or format have changed, identify the stage: the source gallery, the editor export, the sending, or the recipient's saving. Re-forwarding an already reduced picture will not restore the lost details. To pass it to a designer, choose a file from the folder with the originals, not a screenshot of the chat.
What to remove before sending
Check whether the frame contains client data or details that should not reach the recipient. If necessary, make a separate prepared copy and name it accordingly. Do not call the edited copy an untouched original.
In the work card, it is enough to specify the file name, the purpose, and confirmation of receipt. This does not guarantee the same color on all screens: a color proof for printing remains a separate task. This way the chat does not turn into an argument about which of the similar pictures was the final one.
Scheme: 1 — state the purpose of the image; 2 — send the agreed file; 3 — compare the downloaded properties.
