Correct an error in a track title or author credits on Spotify through the label or distributor that supplies the metadata. Editing a promotional post does not change the information about the release itself in the catalog.
Make a table of corrections
For each field, write down: the object, the current value, the correct value, and who confirmed the correction. Do not send a general request to “change the authors” if the album has several tracks with different contributors. For disputed authorship, first agree on the correct data with the responsible parties; a teaser editor does not determine rights by guesswork.
Spotify lists among the fields that can be corrected through the provider the artist name, release title, cover art, dates, track order, country availability, explicit flags, roles, and credits. The service displays the metadata it receives; having access to Spotify for Artists does not mean you can manually change any of these items.
Example of a precise request
Author's sample: “In the track 2 of the release at the link provided, the lyricist field still shows the previous version of the name. Please replace it with the agreed spelling from the attached table. The track title, order, and other contributors do not change.” In a real request, attach only the necessary confirmations and submit them through the provider's official method.
Separate a substantive error from a formatting preference. If you want to change letter case or the version title, check the permitted rules with the distributor. Do not release a second copy of the record as a quick workaround without understanding what will happen to the catalog and existing links.
When to consider the matter closed
After the provider confirms, check how it appears on Spotify. Compare each changed field with the table, not just the overall cover art. Save the verification date and the working reply. Then update the press kit and your own announcements so that the next delivery does not restore the old spelling.
This article helps prepare data for a correction, but it does not promise an update timeframe or resolution of an authorship dispute. Promoting a publication does not affect the accuracy of credits and does not replace the distributor's work.

If, after resolving the main task, you publish a public release announcement on Telegram, you can separately check the view terms for that post. This is not about music plays, not metadata correction, and not profile verification.
