A SoundCloud like saves a track or playlist to Likes, while a repost places it on your profile and in your followers' feed. That is why these actions cannot be swapped in a task or a report. Neither of them proves a full listen or the arrival of a new fan.
What the user will see
According to SoundCloud's help, a like helps you return to a track. A repost shares your find through your profile and Feed. For the same track, the feed is not obliged to show every repetition as a separate new item. Therefore the number of reposts cannot be multiplied by the number of followers and the resulting figure declared as reach.
A hypothetical listener hearted a track to return to it in the evening. Then they reposted it. The profile showed the track being shared, while the bookmark remained in Likes. If they remove the repost with the corresponding action, that does not mean the like should be removed: each selected item is checked separately. Pressing the heart again removes the Likes mark. Both actions can be sincere, but they serve different purposes; public counters do not reveal a person's entire motive.
Matching with the offer
If you are comparing the likes and reposts sections in the Boosted catalog, first check the exact object and the name of the action. A profile link and a link to a specific track are not interchangeable. There are restrictions for private tracks; the help separately excludes likes of private tracks and of the user's own uploads.
Request a description of how the selected item is performed and its limitations. Do not take the promotional word "real" as confirmation that people became interested in the music on their own. An engagement service does not become a playlist editor and does not provide a guarantee of SoundCloud recommendations.
When to decline
SoundCloud limits the mass use of likes, reposts, and other features; a violation can lead to action being blocked. Do not choose a method that requires spam or circumventing restrictions. If your goal is to get substantive feedback, ask a consenting listener to explain their impression of a specific fragment. Ordering numerical engagement does not replace such a conversation and does not confirm the quality of the release.
