A new reader does not need the entire history of the channel in a single message. They need to understand where they have landed, what is useful here, and which material to open first. A good greeting saves that search, and the pinned post gives them the ability to return to the needed links later.

Separate the greeting from the permanent navigation
Since August 2026, Telegram supports separate welcome messages for new members of groups and channels. They are seen by the user who joins. The setting is located in the chat profile: edit → welcome message; the names of the items may differ in the app's localization. Telegram announcement from 25 August 2026.
Such a greeting is convenient for a first introduction. The pinned post remains the place the reader can return to: to find instructions, rules, or a contact. Telegram allows several pinned messages, but for a small channel it is often simpler to start with one clear navigator. Description of pinned posts.
Do not duplicate two long texts word for word. In the greeting, give a short reason to stay and a starting link. In the navigator, gather the materials that are genuinely needed again.
Write the text from the reader's task
Instead of "we are glad to welcome you to our official information resource," state the benefit right away. Below is a sample for a fictional channel about home music recording:
Recording vocals at home? Here we break down how to prepare the room, choose working settings, and hear problems in the recording. Start with the checklist before your first take. Then look at the noise breakdown and an example of organizing a workspace. If anything remains unclear, write your question under the latest post.
In a real message, the words about materials should lead to posts that already exist. If there are no comments, replace the last step with a working contact. Do not leave a promised instruction as "coming soon" in the main entry point of an advertising campaign.
The example has four parts: a recognizable task, the topic, the first material, and a way to ask a question. For a store or a service, the structure is similar, but instead of a sample checklist there may be a catalog, the ordering procedure, and delivery terms.
Keep only the links you need
Large navigation often appears from a desire to show everything that has been done. However, ten similar links force a newcomer to choose all over again where to start.
Name each link by its result: "How to prepare a recording" instead of "Post No. 17." Put the main material first, then two or three that are genuinely related. The archive of categories can be moved to a separate link once it becomes useful.
Check the destinations on a phone. If the material behind a link has changed, update the caption. If a contact has been renamed, correct it in all the starting messages. This is especially easy to forget after a change of administrator.
Test the text on someone who did not write it
Ask them to read the first screen and complete one task: find the starting instructions or a way to get in touch. Do not prompt them where to click. If the person opens the wrong link, rename it. If they ask whether the material is paid, clarify the condition next to it.
It is useful to measure actions on the available links and the questions that keep coming after the greeting. The number of views of the pinned post alone does not prove that the navigation is clear or that the message was read to the end.
After a change of offer, contacts, or main materials, reread the pinned post and update the links.
If you separately need a service for a specific post, the parameters are available in the Telegram views section and the form below. Ordered activity will not replace a clear entry into the channel and will not prove the interest of a new audience.
