To get access to Apple Music for Artists, first find the correct artist page and prepare confirmation of your connection to the project. A request to manage the profile does not upload music to the catalog and does not replace a distributor.
Before submitting a request
Apple states that the music must be available in Apple Music for at least five business days. The artist or their manager can request the page; when selecting an album, the primary artist role is required, a single featured credit is not enough. These conditions do not mean approval automatically after five days.
Copy the exact link to the page or album, check the artwork and the catalog. For artists with the same name, a name match alone is not enough. Prepare information about the role, the official website, and any available connections with the distributor. Submit the request only in the official Apple Music for Artists, without giving your password to an intermediary.
An editorial example of verification
The band has two singles, but the search shows three pages with a similar name. The manager first opens the releases, verifies the artist, and saves the correct address. Only after that do they select the album in the request. If the needed release belongs to a different artist, that is a separate catalog problem that cannot be solved by confirming a random page.
A Pending status means the request is under review. Do not announce that access has been obtained until it has actually appeared. Check notifications in the linked mailbox and save the case number if you have to clarify the status.
How to connect the team
After approval, use user management, choosing permissions based on the task. The person preparing a report does not necessarily need full administrative access. Keep an internal list of members and review access after a collaboration ends. A shared password for the whole team makes it harder to understand who is responsible for changes.
Check the login of the invited member and the availability of exactly the needed sections. A confirmed page helps manage the artist's presence, but does not promise placement in playlists or growth in listens. A separate public announcement on Telegram can be promoted only as an announcement, without any connection to the outcome of Apple's review.
